ATXtra is the ready-to-use safe alternative to invasive injections for minimizing wrinkles. The patented dual vial system, is a technological approach that allows to highly concentrate the active substance within a cosmetic formulation.

ATXtra contains a curare-like active pentapeptide. This peptide acts in a manner similar to that of tubocurarin, main active compound of curare. As with curare, ATXtra acts at the post-synaptic membrane. The peptide is a competitive antagonist at the acetylcholine (ACh) membrane�s receptor. As the acetylcholine receptors (AChR) are blocked, the ion channel remains closed. Sodium ions (Na+) are not released and the muscles stay relaxed. ATXtra has been thoroughly tested and is considered to be appropriate for cosmetic applications.

Function: ATXtra is a topical cosmetic alternative to Botox� injections with a curare-like mode of activity. ATXtra smoothes wrinkles within short time: crow�s feet, forehead and nasolabial fold expression wrinkles.

Ingredients: ATXtra Lyophilizate: Mannitol, Pentapeptideamide-4 (provisional), Pullulan, Locust bean (Ceratonia Silica) gum, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben. ATXtra Diluent: Water, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben

Directions: Apply twice a day. Use sparingly. Apply to exfoliated skin. Target areas to be treated. Kit lasts for about 2 to 3 weeks. Avoid eye contact. Maintain with ATX� Double Action Serum.

Efficacy Testing In vitro test: The efficacy of the ATXtra pentapeptide has been demonstrated in vitro by measuring the frequency of contraction of innervated muscle cells in function of the incubation time.

In vivo test: Measurement of the anti-wrinkle and smoothing effect of ATXtra. Results showed up to �49% of wrinkle size and �47% of skin roughness after 28 days application

"In experimenting with this product for my frown lines of which are pretty strong muscles for me, I notice an immediate effect after using AM and PM. After the second day, I can most certainly still frown but it takes a bit more effort to do so. Not having had Botox I am cannot give a good comparison. In trying to determine a comparison between the ATXtra vs. Botox it has been generally agreed, purely anecdotal comments from customers that have had Botox, that the ATXtra may be about 50% as effective as Botox. While still not as effective as Botox, comes closer than any other topical thus far.

In speaking with the chemist, it is agreed that the overall effect will wear off at about 6 weeks when using the ATX to maintain. The ATXtra actives and delivery system were developed in Switzerland, are very new, and just recently arrived in the US. As a result, more clinical data will be forthcoming in the near future."

How to Mix: This is a unique packaging that most of us haven't worked with before, so I will attempt to give you some instructions:

• Take the little bottle called Lyophilizate, with a flat cap on it, remove just the little white top cap.
• Remove the little pointed lid from the Diluent.
• With the Diluent sitting on the table, invert the Lyophilizate (it's on top now) and tightly screw that onto the Diluent bottle. That will force a little hole into the Lyophilizate powder.
• Invert these (now the Diluent is on top) and squeeze the Diluent into the powdered Lyophilizate.
• When all the Diluent is transferred in, shake well. You can then discard the Diluent bottle. When you use the product you will simply remove the little white cap, put your finger over the top and shake. This will give you a little amount on the finger to apply to the areas. Not much is really needed at all. I surely hope that helps.
